ive been through the desert on a horse with no name.

but ill never give up the rain. deserted alleys and disturbing aromas fill the gray frothed cup of a campus we swim through.

the summer pool has started. forced to jump in before we could test the waters. i hope to get lost in the text filling my pool as i grasp the forced concepts displayed so just so just so. divorced from this intrusive individual society.

ill find  time to squeeze oranges for a thick pulped drink but right now a text entitled “developing management skills” drawls my thirsty horse

worleys cave

In Uncategorized on May 16, 2009 at 10:37 am

friday had to be one of the most fantastic days.. one word, caving.

nine of us split between two cars headed for the unknown to us Morril’s cave (commonly known as worley’s)
we got jimmy johns day old loafs and set off
with “directions” but we turned an hour and half drive into three.
we drove past the bristol speedway, talked to some real locals and eventually found jeff;s house [i think thats his name] at about 8:15
do the math we started driving at 5:15 or so.

remember one thing. Morril wants his five dollars a person.
and you enter the top cave entrance and open the huge metal gate.

so, we never found that huge metal gate, as assumed it was locked or it was dangerous area to go in we trotted to the lower entrance. fyi none of us but john had been there but twas many years past.

so its dark [ha] and we start walking through the water. we walk as far as the water goes and it ends so we explore our surroundings to find another tunnel through but all we find are concreted blocked paths. completely confused we had a mud fight/mud slid and no lights in the cave shrill moment or two.

the only man to find a real way to the other cave was Aaron. finding a small tunnel and literally squeezing through he found where we were suppose to be.

the time is now 10:40
muddy. tired. hungry. cold.
we make our way out of the cave and to the cars.
changed into dry clothes and head for the main road.

Jeff stops us on our way. we didnt real pay correctly so he badgers us about it but i try and change the subject whenever its brought up.

this is what we learn from him.
one we went the wrong way in. metal gate was the place to be.
we only went about a 1/5 of the way in. [i gather that from the map and what jeff says]
the property was first jeff’s grandmothers.
at the very very back of the cave is a guest book for the adventurous.
there are foot long crawl fish in the water…..
some people go in on friday and come out on sunday .
the cave is maybe 3.5 to 5.5 miles deep.
oh and Jeff Morril has done it all.

paying Jeff more money and driving home. stomach’s control the conversation.
we find a Little Caesars and the time is right…11:55 [closing time!]
we wait around while matt goes to talk to the employees.
what does he come out with?

three pizzas and two cheeeeeese breadsticks.
fo frEE
so we all get out and eat the stuff.
its hot. we become full. and we head home

my sambas as currently drowning a muddy sand flood and drying on our front steps with my jeans as well.
it was an amazing time.
God created an amazing playground and supplied us delicious food and great bonding.

cheese is mold

In Uncategorized on May 15, 2009 at 1:56 pm

friday afternoon.

there is little over a week before summer school starts.

boone is more or less a dead town. and when you dont have any money its less. but thats no reason to cry. me and john make our own excitment.

i only wish our house had internet.

i need to start using this last week before summer school correctly. right now i think thats staying up late on the computer informing myself and downloading new music.

i could blame it on the rain but it seems i cant move the day sometimes. oh and i need a table. a nice rectangle one, for my room.

this weekend its my challenge to myself to get my newish room in order and create inspiration in my own life.besides that i kinda need a helmet and a bigger harddrive.

sometimes you need a little help to get moving though. being alone is something i have learned to cherish but at times i cant seem to get anything done.

rigtht now im just thinking [apply this however you want] location, location, location.

the weekend was like wallpaper falling off the walls.

the old paint behind it wasnt any uglier than before, just trying to clean out the mold.

ive figured enough out that i might need to keep a calender on me all the time. maybe touch up on some reading to keep myself running with the curve.

Juan and i enjoyed continental  al las holiday inn. eggs, the best pattie sausage, and coffee.

i have a job interview in thirty minutes. lowes food. and i need to figure out if i can graduate in a year or not. BSBA in Management. i could be a good manageer right? haha, yeah i thought so too.

my rhapsody {music player} wont open and im missing my songs. i really hope i dont have to reinstall because im afraid ill loose all my songs. not the end of the world i know, but frustrating enough.

but out of all this you should check out….  www.yooouuutuuube.com     it plays any video from youtube frame per frame. pretty sweet once you check it out.

In Uncategorized on May 6, 2009 at 1:47 am

its late.

me, brandon and justina are finishing papers and studying.

this time tomorrow [hahha] who knows what well be doing.

today, though has been great. i succeeded in spending 1.50 on food for the whole day.

i pray ill have even more exciting news tomorrow as the lord unveils my future.

i am so excited for this semester to finally end. its gone fast but so slowww, so many new and old friendships coming and going. my brains been turning in a washing machine as i try and piece things together. Gods been moving in me ways i cannot describe. its amazing.

harvie

this is a rare phrase, but yesterday was the shamuist day everrr.

building up slowly, watch your heart rate please.

began with an invitation for a day trip to asheville .

Juanito, Jenks, Mileylindsay, and myself (mike) were off to the city about 10ish

the drive there can only be described as arcadic, with passing of ipods, rocking to a german song and quick unthought decisions. /first stop, THe Biltmore EstaTE\

knowledge of the big green tickets, into the woods we headed. at this point, the captians logs began, describing in rash detail the horish adventure we blindy for-took.

at this point we were being lead by a woodland creature with a wordy supporter, almost a-wall soldier, with a juicless mrs. cool-aid in tow [its just great imagery]

highlights of the hike included galloping across the highway, miley could have died, and harvie picking us up [the sweetest shuttle driver everr]

to make it short we made it to the biltmore, wooow, and enjoyed the beautifully developed gardens and cleanly kept estate, devoured free samples but no one knew why we were so happy but we just snuck in. our only concern was how to get back. no shuttle as we learned drove back to the welcome center.

team A miley and i. first turned down by a creeped out older couple found a ride through the shuttle men, we were given our own van to pick us up from the estate and drive us back to the welcome center. harvie was our shuttle driver to our van [we dont know if he believed our lies, but he was sweet] awkwardly making small talk to our van driver we eventually got back to our car.

whererrrrrr team B, juan and Jenks. happened upon a ride with a apparently enthusiastic couple let them hitch in the back of their little truck.

both teams safely arrived at the car where spewed an enthusiastic skippers log and drove to downtown.

downtown consisted of alot of walking, dinner at noodle works? i think thats the name . and a view at the sky bar [not with out thomas's doing] and a view of the encore dance camp at the civic center, why we watch or found it. idk but it was hilarious.

our drive back was amazing, besides exit 72 not a big deal though. again we passed ipods and enjoyed the night drive.

honest the day was amazing. no one was really upset at all. some doubts but we all really enjoyed ourselves. i dont know right now why God handed us this adventure but it was so great. masked bonding we wont understand for awhile, we all learned new things about each other. and will appreciate our company more.

God is letting me just fit in so well with these great people. i love jenk’s line, “you’ve only been in with our friends for a month but i feel like ive know you for years.”

that feels so good. i’m really learning to love these people. its so great. there is so much care here.

the day ended with juan and me getting a trim, thanks to jessie.
